High Ropes, an exciting alternative to paintball & white water rafting!

Fun on the Ropes! is a fun & exhilarating recreational experience. In addition to offering a thrilling adrenaline-boost, this experience is designed to develop confidence, resilience, and trust.

This event takes place on our static high ropes course, located at the beautiful Red Lodge Guest Ranch, west of Bowden. Included is a 3-hour recreational climbing experience, including ground school, course supervision and all climbing gear.

This course is not designed for young children; participants must be a minimum of 13 years old and have a minimum 6 ft arm reach.

Event Requirements

Participants must wear well fitted and comfortable clothing that is easy to move around in and appropriate for the weather. You will be wearing a helmet and safety harness. Footwear is important; athletic shoes, trainers, hiking boots or study walking shoes are recommended. Flip flops and sandals are not acceptable.

All participants must provide a complete & signed waiver before beginning this event. To ensure participants’ safety, all course operators are fully trained, and operating procedures are strictly adhered to. All participants must adhere to the Local Operating Procedures of NexLevel Challenge Ltd. when at Red Lodge Ropes Course.

We require a minimum of 6 guests to guarantee these dates and registration will be capped at 16. If this event is cancelled due to low event enrollment, Red Lodge Ropes Course will honor your registration towards a future Fun on the Ropes! event.

What if there is bad weather?

We do not cancel due to rain; however, dangerous weather conditions may cause us to reschedule. If we have to cancel due to weather, we will endeavour to find a date that works for you. For more info, please see our Refund Policy.

Where is your facility?

Red Lodge Ropes Course is located at the beautiful Red Lodge Guest Ranch, 11 km west of Bowden, Alberta. 45 minutes north of Calgary and 30 minutes south of Red Deer, this is a working cattle and horse ranch on 320 acres of wilderness and evergreen forest. Horses, cattle and natural wildlife are part of the setting you will enjoy.

Can kids go on this course?

This course is not designed for young children; participants must be a minimum of 13 years old and have a minimum 6 ft arm reach.

Do you supply helmets and climbing gear?

All participants must wear climbing harnesses and helmets supplied by Red Lodge Ropes Course. For their safety, spectators will also be required to wear a helmet when participants are on the course.

Is there anything else to do before or after the Ropes Course?

What is included for the registration fee?

Included is a 3-hour recreational climbing experience, including ground school, course supervision and all climbing gear. This event does not include any team building facilitation. What is your refund policy?

All requests for transfer to another date must be received via email at least one week before your event date and you can select an alternate date. No refunds will be issued; however, you may send a substitute in your place if you are no longer able to attend.

If we have to cancel due to weather, insufficient enrollment or other reasons beyond our control, we will endeavour to find a date that works for you. Red Lodge Ropes Course retains the right to cancel or reschedule dates, as required.
